On a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, we came just after the hyenas had killed a baby Thompson gazelle. There were 6 hyenas and 6 jackals at the kill but there was no sharing as this hyena took the baby’s body in its jaws and carried it away. It crossed the road in front of the car and disappeared in the bush, followed by the other hyenas and the jackals.
