Mammals of Lake Nakuru National Park
Male Lion
This male lion was spotted early one morning in Lake Nakuru National Park. The light was absolutely superb and he was walking on the road in front of the car. We followed him for about 5 minutes as he was very relaxed. All the lions I had seen so far in Lake Nakuru had blond manes and this one was the first (and only) dark maned lion I have managed to spot. I took a series of about 20 pictures, but I like this one as it shows the majesty of the lion.
