Lake Nakuru National Park is a birder’s paradise. All around its shores, all sorts of water birds can be seen. This colony of spoonbills was found on the South end of the lake. Spoonbills are weird looking birds that wade in shallow waters looking for small crustaceans and small fish. As it was early morning, these birds were preening, getting ready for a day of fishing.
