As I was driving down from the Honneck range, in the Vosges Mountains , France, I spotted movement on a ski slope. I parked the car and slowly walked up the little hill to look at what was on the other side.
I was surprised to see a fox vixen with 3 pups. I managed to take this shot with my 500mm lens on a monopod before the whole family disappeared in the dense vegetation on the other side of the ski slope.
Foxes are plentiful in the Vosges Mountains but are usually hard to approach.
