On a boat safari on the Shire river in Liwonde National Park, I spotted my favourite bird, the little malachite kingfisher. I readied my 500mm lens when in the corner of my eye, I saw movement. On a branch to the right of me had landed this giant kingfisher with a fish in its beak. I recomposed the shot very quickly, and managed to take three pictures before the bird flew off to a quieter location to eat its meal.
