As I entered the park early one morning, there was nothing spectacular on Lanet plain (black rhinos and lions were absent), I proceeded towards main Gate. As I reached the causeway just before the gate, the sun came up above Lion Hill, showering the lake in a glorious orange light. I stopped the car to take a series of pictures. As it was a cold morning, you could see the mist over the lake. I also liked the dead yellow fever tree in the foreground.
