Boat Ride on the Shire River
This picture represents the essence of liwonde national park. I was on a boat ride on the Shire River, South of mvuu Camp when I saw this scene. A waterbuck was on a little sandbank in the middle of the river, hippos were snoozing in the shallows, a pied kingfisher is hovering in the air. All that is missing is an elephant in the distance. We did encounter them later on!
