At school, we had a lot of Haddeda and Sacred Ibis. This third species, the Glossy Ibis, I only saw in Lake Nakuru National Park. Sometimes, these birds assembled in large numbers on the edge of the lake, in shallow water. I took this picture early one morning. I love the markings on its head, especially the white streaks. It was walking away from me and just paused for a second, looking at the camera over its shoulder for a brief instant before going further away.
