During the wildebeest migration, a lot of them are preyed upon at night, and when morning arrives, the predators leave the carcasses to the vultures. This one still had a fair amount of meat on it and few vultures were about. I like the “Gory” feel of this picture. Vultures are extremely useful to their environment as they clean the plains from the rotting carcasses which could spread diseases.
