This herd of Thornicroft giraffe always stays around the Luangwa Wafwa in South Luangwa National Park, Zambia. What was nice when I took the picture was that amongst the 15 giraffes, there were two sets of very young twins.
Before coming to Africa, I had always pictured giraffes as solitary animals or living in very small groups. The first time I saw a herd of 10 giraffes, I was surprised.
I took the picture with my 18mm lens, handheld.
