On one of my first trips in the bush, I stayed at Lifupa lodge, in Kasungu National Park, Malawi. The Park has been heavily poached and there are very few visitors. With patience and a bit of luck, the sightings can be good if sporadic.
I was resting in the lodge, in the early afternoon, when this herd of elephants came to drink and walked behind a pod of hippos sleeping on the bank of the Lifupa dam.
I used my 500mm lens mounted on a tripod to take the shot.
