It was the end of another dive off the South plateau of Elphinstone Reef, off the coast of Marsa Alam. The sharks had been skittish. Rob, our guide, started sending divers to the boat 2 at a time. And every time divers went on the boat, the sharks came a bit closer. Until there was just Rob and me in the water. Two sharks came and circled under the boat for 10 minutes. We could not ascent. Eventually they went away a little bit and we managed to quickly jump onto the boat. As they were circling directly above us, I managed to take this picture.
C’était la fin d’une autre plongée sur le plateau sud du récif d’Elphinstone, au large de Marsa Alam. Les requins s’étaient montrés timide jusque là. Rob, notre guide, commença à faire remonter les plongeurs deux par deux sur le bateau. Et chaque fois que des plongeurs disparaissaient sur le bateau, les requins venaient un peu plus près. Jusqu’au moment où Rob et moi nous retrouvâmes seuls sous le bateau. Deux requins sont apparus et ont commencé à tourner sous le bateau pendant environ 10 minutes. Nous ne pouvions pas remonter. A la fin, ils s’éloignèrent juste assez pour nous permettre de remonter. J’ai reussi à prendre cette photo alors qu’ils tournaient au dessus de nous.
