Cross Legged Aardvark
After waiting for a while to see the aardvarks wake up from their well-earned sleep, I was in position, next to the keeper (and the termite soup) when they emerged from their cave at London zoo. I managed a series of pictures of this strange looking creature. I only saw one in the wild, whilst on a school trip at Kuti game ranch, in Malawi, but could not take a picture as it jumped into its hole as soon as I put the beam of the spotlight on it.
Nikon D700, Sigma 150-500mm OS at 270mm, F6.3, 1/4000s, ISO 2500, handheld.
