Spotted Eagle Owl and Mouse
As we entered Lake Nakuru National Park very early one morning, we came across this spotted eagle owl on the road with a mouse in its talons. I stopped the car immediately and readied the camera. The owl stayed on the road for a little while, allowing me to take pictures, before it decided it had had enough of the paparazzi and flew off with its breakfast in its talons.
Nikon D700, Sigma 150-500mm OS at 450mm, F6.3, 1/60s, ISO 800, SB 900 flashgun set on TTL, handheld.
