African Hoopoe Parading

One of my favourites birds in Africa. I love the crest it can deploy. I saw this one walking at Nderit Gate in Lake Nakuru National Park. I loved the way it was taking one of its wings out and it was raising its crest. It looked as it was making a bow. I managed five pictures before it flew away.

Nikon D700, Sigma 150-500mm OS at 450mm, F6.3, 1/1250s, ISO 1250, handheld.
