Olive Sand Snake

I was on a free period at school, marking books, when I was called for yet another snake. This one was curled under the bed of a colleague. I went to investigate and found a rather large specimen, about 1m long happily curled under the bed. I took my grabber and placed the very docile snake in my bucket. A few hours later, as I wanted to identify it, it was not placid anymore and tried to jump out of the bucket a few times. As it was rather cold, I waited until the following morning to take pictures as I knew the snake would be sluggish because of the temperature and try to identify it, as I had never seen such a species before. I learned that the olive sand snake is slightly venomous, so released it in lake Nakuru National park.
