Birds of Lake Nakuru National Park
Pied Kingfisher with Breakfast
Although I had seen pied kingfishers a few times in lake Nakuru, I had never seen one catch a fish before. This one perched on a dead tree with a gorgeous blue sky behind it, allowing me to take several pictures before it swallowed the fish.
Nikon D700, Sigma 150-500mm OS at 450mm, F6.3, 1/8000s, ISO 6400, handheld.
